Meet Brooke Keen, Dominion Care Waiver Services’ New Program Coordinator for Roanoke Location
Dominion Care Waiver Services is excited to introduce Brooke Keen, B.S., QMHP-A as our new Program Coordinator for the Roanoke, Virginia location! Brooke joined the company in February and will be instrumental in furthering Dominion Waiver’s mission to provide quality, person centered care and services to the Roanoke Valley. Her top priority is to support the community by providing exceptional care and services to individuals diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.
Brooke earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Sociology from Radford University. She received her QMHP-A while providing clinical care to individuals and in serving in the Support Services Management role at Blue Ridge Behavioral Healthcare. She also served as an advocate and driving force behind the implementation of Same Day Access for individuals seeking Community Services Board (CSB) services in the Roanoke Valley.
Brooke has clinical experience working with individuals diagnosed with serious mental illnesses, substance abuse disorders, and intellectual and developmental disabilities. She has worked in the outpatient setting with adults and children in one on one and group settings. Brooke has a passion for advocacy in the human services field and brings vast professional and clinical experience in direct service and program management.
Brooke believes that change happens when people are given the guidance and opportunity they need to draw on their own strengths and realize their potential to live fulfilling, happy lives. She fosters a compassionate and supportive environment to help individuals and their families overcome obstacles so they can move forward and thrive.
With the expansion of our new location in Roanoke, Brooke looks forward to supporting families by providing dynamic, individualized and customized support services which help children and adults diagnosed with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities gain independence and self-respect. Individuals are empowered to reach their highest potential and we help them build the skills necessary to flourish and remain in the community.
